How to Review

Our family business like any vacation rental business is absolutely driven by the reviews of our honored visitors. Please review your stay honestly and keep in mind these few tips:

• Keep the listing description on hand when reviewing your stay. Do not, for example, give a low rating for a place that does not offer breakfast, or has a certain check-out time because remember you did agree on these when you made your booking, so please be fair to the host who was honest in his advertising listing.
• Give your hosts a chance – Sometimes they may not be aware of the issue at all but issues do occur. Give your host a chance to make it right instead of dinging them at the end of your stay. Even if they were not able to fix the issue, if they at least did everything in their power to fix it – that counts.
• Choose your words wisely. Many people will be reading what you have to say about the listing you are reviewing. The star ratings are skewed. Anything less than a “5” in Google & Airbnb is not good. Similarly for Booking, Expedia, or HW less than “9” or “10”.
• Also, remember that you can convey your concerns through private memo on reviews as well. Especially if it is something that can be fixed before future guests arrive (e.g. a torn shower liner or maybe a dripping faucet).
• Finally being helpful and kind to the people that are doing the best they can to optimize your experience is much better than being hateful and mean.
