My Island Penthouse

Nikitas place was great. The location was perfect, very close to the center and to the beach at the same time. Also close to the public parkings, which made our lives easier. The apartment is beautiful, the same you can see in the photos and everything was so comfy (including the COCO-MAT mattresses which, btw, are the best). Nikitas and Maria were superfriendly and helpful, they provided us with a local guide of Naxos which made the experience even more awesome.
We will for sure come back!

We absolutely love this place! Perfect location just a few blocks down to the beautiful Saint George beach, restaurants, the market, and less than a 10 minute walk to town. We are a family with 2 older teens and we walked everywhere, rented a UTV right down the street and had the best time.
Maria and Nikitas were very friendly and helpful. They provided a guide to the island that was awesome.

Ich kann das Apartment nur empfehlen! Wir hatten als kleine Familie eine wunderschöne Zeit dort auf Naxos. Die Unterkunft ist super ausgestattet, ruhig, sehr sauber, mit einer Terrasse samt Grill und in einer tollen Lage in der Nähe des Saint George Strands in Naxos Town. Wir würden dort immer wieder Urlaub machen!

Great communication and hospitality from Nikitas! We always prioritise booking accommodation with strong reviews and location, this delivers on both fronts. Minutes walk to the beach and a short stroll in to town. Nikitas provided useful information about the island and also met us at the port for a convenient check-in. Whilst we were working from the flat for the week, the WiFi was also sufficient, incl. video calls. Thanks again for having us.

Our stay here was phenomenal. Our hosts transported us and another couple, who arrived and departed separately, to and from the apartment on the days of arrival and departure. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the island and helpful in making recommendations during our stay, and they were very responsive to our questions and needs. The apartment was ideally located in the main city and was walking distance to the port. Housekeeping came daily, which was nice for trash disposable, as toilet paper is not to be disposed in the toilet in all of Greece. We are grateful for their wonderful hospitality and we would highly recommend staying here.

Perfect location! A couple of streets away from restaurants, cafes, shops, and the beach. The house was nicely appointed and clean with plenty of bedding and towels for our family of 4. The beds were super comfortable. They even provided daily housekeeping service which we did not expect. Maria was very responsive before and during our stay. Her brother picked us up from the port on arrival and gave us a ride to the airport for our departure, which was such a hospitable touch! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we are fortunate enough to return to this beautiful island.

 

I can not say enough about how wonderful our stay was. First of all, the communication from the beginning was excellent. Before we even arrived our hosts sent detailed messages about things to do, see, restaurants, tips, anything you could ask for. It was so helpful and made me feel so much more comfortable about coming to a new place. Upon arrival we were greeted by George. He took us to the adorable apartment and showed us around. Everything was clean and well maintained. We loved it. And the location is just fantastic!! Easy walk to so many shops, restaurants, and the beach. It was very hard to leave this wonderful spot and these lovely hosts. They went above and beyond. We will absolutely be returning to Naxos….we fell in love! When we do we would not hesitate to stay at My Island Home again. Thank you for opening up your place to us! All the best.

We had such an amazing stay! The apartment was exactly as it appeared in pictures. We felt so comfortable there and can’t think of a single thing that could have been better. If you have small children, St George beach is ideal…and it’s just two blocks away! We appreciated the pickup and drop off service to the port. We greatly enjoyed and highly recommend this place!

Nikita’s place was wonderful and fit our family of four (two adults and children age 11 & 13) very well. It was a 5min walk to the beach or downtown. Quiet and comfortable apartment. Groceries, restaurants and shopping all very close by. Laundry down the block and well worth paying to have it washed, dried and folded. Pick-up and drop-off were great and on time. Can’t say enough about the cleanliness and communication as all was top notch. Thank you Nikita for making our time in Naxos a smooth and unforgettable experience.

We stayed at Nikitas for one month. We were thrilled at how close everything was. 5 min to multiple grocery stores, bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants and the beach. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need for cooking at home.

Just had an awesome stay at the island home. Great location just walking distance away from the beach and the port. The space itself was clean and the hosts were easily reachable. Would definitely stay here again.

We spent 10 nights at My Island Home, my wife and two teenagers. It is a great location, super apartment and Nikitas and Maria are great hosts. Thanks also to George for picking us up at the port and dropping us back. My only complaint is that they should have told us to stay longer… Naxos is a great place for a family with plenty to do for all ages and abilities. If you just want to lie on the beach or try kitesurfing the location is perfect. Everything you need is close at hand. Thanks for being part of a great vacation.

What a fantastic apartment to explore all the best Naxos has to offer. The interior of the apartment was beautifully renovated and was clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our Hosts were so helpful with everything and great with all communication. An easy walk to all the best of Naxos town from the house. I highly recommend staying here and we look forward to staying again the next time we visit Naxos!

Our stay at Nikitas’s was wonderful. We were collected by Nikitas himself, who on the trip pointed out local points of interest and explained how to walk to the town and port. When we arrived, the apartment was spotless and stylish. Nikitas then have us a map and told us what we could do around the island. Hiring quad bikes was one of them. They are safe and are the best and most fun way to see the island and were very reasonable at €25 per day. There is also a fantastic local restaurant at the end of the street called Oasis. Delicious and well priced. Try the Beef Stifado! Would definitely return!

When we first arrived, Nikitas (your host) picked us up at the port (which they offer to make it convenient and stress free for your arrival) and asked us if this was our first time in greece, which it was, and asked what other islands are we going to. We responded and he said ‘You will have a wonderful time here, and after you leave and see the other islands, you’ll then know why Naxos is so special’….and he was so right. I waited to write this review until the end of our trip to check him on that. Naxos is incredible for many reasons. Hospitality and kindness is frequent with anyone you’re dealing with, and it absolutely has an impression on Nikita’s place. The apartment is extremely clean, it is beautifully decorated, the kitchen has everything you need, the bed is comfortable, the outside area is so peaceful to have your coffee / tea in the morning or wine whenever you please. Maria offered to take our laundry when we needed it (for a cost, as there isn’t washer on site). You are walking distance from all the cafes, restaurants, markets / grocery stores, car rental / atv rentals (which we rented from Motoland – which I recommend personally). Everything is available, but not at the cost of your peace of mind either. The area is very quiet and peaceful. Wake up early, take a walk on the beach, drink some greek coffee and relax. Overall: If you’re thinking about seeing Naxos – stay here. It’s wonderful. And spend at-least 3 days here. But if you can only do 2, you’ll still have a wonderful time. In hindsight, I now wish we stayed an extra day or two to see the island more. You will have great hosts who know the island very well. Rent a car or ATV (the people at motoland we’re great to us). If you drink, try the Kitron! We love and hate that you can only get the drink on Naxos, so we brought some bottles home. If you’re vegan / gluten free you do have options but will have the search a bit. Only thing my wife and I thought were worth noting, and it may not be a problem at all, but if you have leg or back problems and would struggle stepping into a bathtub or standing up out of one – I’ll try to explain the bath. The bath has a removable shower head on the lower end that you can use and move around your body, but it is not hands free or built into the wall. As I said, this may not be a problem, as it wasn’t for us, but I imagine it could be for someone with mobility issues. Bottom line. Staying here would be a great decision and you’ll leave missing Naxos.

Nikitas and Maria were the best hosts. Communication before was prompt and clear. The port pick-up and drop-off were great. We arrived to an exceptionally clean house with many homey touches. There were even fresh delicious baked goods on the table waiting for us. Maria made some recommendations for restaurants that were really good. The ferry system went on strike while we were there and they let us stay an extra night free of charge. What a difference that made in helping us have a great holiday. Their generosity was much appreciated. There Island Home is within walking distances from everything in Naxos Town so we did not rent a car. We had a blast and Nikitas and Maria get a lot of credit for that.

Great, stylish, clean and comfortable ground floor apartment with air conditioning, which is definitely needed in Naxos. Hosts were always there to help as they live on the first floor. We were greeted at the port by their driver who delivered us to the accommodation efficiently. We were met by the host and given a quick tour and advice about what to see and where best to go. They even assisted us with car rental suggestions. The accommodation is conveniently located so that it was just a short walk to most of the sites of the town and the many eateries. They even have a cleaner come every day! Had a wonderful stay and highly recommend.
